BITTER MELON AND HONEYDEW SORBETTO

Serves: 1 quart
Ingredients:

2 honeydew melon (about; enough to make 2 cups puree)
1/2 bitter melon (4 inches)
1 T. lime
1.5 C. simple sugar syrup
1 T. vodka

Directions:

Remove rind and seeds from honeydew melon and cut into cubes. Remove core of bitter melon and blanche. Puree both melons together in a blender, food processor or juicer.

Measure 2 cups puree. Combine with the sugar syrup and lemon or lime juice and the liquor and chill. Pour into an ice cream machine and follow manufacturer's directions.
