Meyers-Bitter Survey is a yes or no question survey that applies examples and discoveries from the NBMC's own experiences, social-research, and events from the past year to further explore the emotion of bitterness and the concept of community, identity, and belonging.

Meyers-Bitter Survey was inspired by the concept and structure of the Myers-Briggs personality test which is a test designed to help a person identify significant personal preferences based on eight personality characteristics. The philosophy of the exam is that combinations of these different characteristics can serve as indicators of personal preferences and styles and can be used to inform educational styles, group and relationship dynamics, etc.

The NBMC created its Emograph (see and click the image on the right) and defined its own four emotional states using its definition of bitterness (Loss with Attachment) as the grounding principle.
